About project

Today, one of society’s main challenges is the forced displacement of millions of Ukrainian children to EU countries for various reasons, particularly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Many of these children obtained the status of a refugee in the European Union or became internally displaced people in Ukraine. Unfortunately, these events took a toll on their physical and psychological well-being, negatively impacting their future lives. Therefore, focusing on projects to improve their overall well-being has become crucial. The project focuses on working not only with Ukrainian refugees and migrant children but also expanding our expertise across the partner countries.
The goals of our project take into account the priorities of the competition to support the response of the European youth field to the war in Ukraine, which consists in the qualified training of youth workers who will work with displaced children and migrants, including from Ukraine. The DP5YOU project can help organise various events, open discussions, and provide support for children and youth in Ukraine. The project is also inclusive and will ensure access to quality education and training for youth workers, regardless of their culture, background, or gender. The relevance of the proposed idea lies in the priority of promoting active citizenship, youth initiative, and youth entrepreneurship and creating conditions for the development of active citizenship among young people, which will help young people take an active part in the development of society and the economy, contributing to the creation of positive changes. The project aims to develop digital content and improve pedagogical practices, developing training courses to stimulate digital work with young people. The training courses will be tailored to the target audience of youth workers, will include interactive and practical learning methods such as online resources, video lessons, and interactive platforms, and will have feedback for further improvement. The DP5YOU web platform creates a shared environment for young workers from different countries to share their experiences, best practices, and ideas.
