International Conference within the DP5YOU Project
18–19 September 2026 will see an international conference held in a hybrid format, offering the option of in-person and online participation.
The conference is organised within the project “Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level” (DP5YOU), co-funded by the European Union. Its purpose is to bring together researchers, educators, young people, youth workers, representatives of educational institutions and civil society organisations, as well as everyone working with migrant and refugee children.
The conference will focus on European approaches and modern methodologies for working with migrant and refugee children. Particular attention will be given to the use of digital technologies, practices of social integration and adaptation, psychosocial support for children, and the development of knowledge and practical skills among young people and youth workers.
The conference programme will include plenary and parallel sessions featuring presentations by leading researchers and representatives of public authorities, educational institutions and civil society organisations working in the field of youth policy. Participants will have an opportunity to present the results of their research and practical activities, discuss current challenges and exchange European best practices.
The conference is organised by:
- NGO “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORTS. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE” (Ukraine);
- ASSOCIACAO CHECK-IN – COOPERACAO E DESENVOLVIMENTO (Portugal);
- INSTITUTUL DE INSTRUIRE IN DEZVOLTARE MILLENIUM (Moldova);
- Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine (Ukraine);
- National Agency for Programs Development and Youth Work (Moldova).
The event will provide an international platform for presenting research findings, discussing modern European practices, exchanging professional experience, developing partnerships and identifying innovative approaches to working with migrant and refugee children.
The main thematic areas of the conference are:
- youth work and volunteering;
- social integration and adaptation through education, recreation and sport;
- digital technologies and psychosocial support.
Researchers, university lecturers, teachers, youth workers, representatives of educational institutions, civil society organisations and public authorities, young people, volunteers, and everyone interested in developing modern approaches to supporting migrant and refugee children are invited to participate.
Participation in the conference is free of charge. Conference materials must be submitted by 10 September 2026 to: dp5you@yssukraine.com.
Materials that meet the established requirements will be published on the official DP5YOU project website.
