Working meeting held in Chisinau as part of the DP5YOU project

On June 4, 2025, an important working meeting was held in the capital of the Republic of Moldova, Chișinău, bringing together partners of the project “Digital Platform of Knowledge and Skills Development for Youth Working with Child Migrants and Refugees at European Level (DP5YOU), co-financed by the European Union.

The meeting was attended by:

Alexandr Petrov, Director of the National Youth Agency (Republic of Moldova);

Vadim Smintina, Deputy Director of the National Youth Agency;

Dan Arnaut, Head of the Directorate of Youth Services and Work, National Youth Agency;

Iaroslav Galan, project coordinator and head of the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”.

In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova has reaffirmed its role as a key regional partner by hosting a significant number of refugees, including vulnerable children and families. This ongoing humanitarian responsibility–currently involving thousands of Ukrainian refugees–has further highlighted the importance of training young professionals to work effectively with refugee children. Strengthening the capacity of local specialists is essential to ensure that these children receive the care, protection, and educational opportunities they urgently need.

During the event, participants discussed:

Priority areas for cooperation between organizations;

Establishing effective communication between partners;

A joint vision for project implementation, objectives, and expected results.

The DP5YOU project holds particular importance for Ukraine in the context of war and large-scale displacement of children and young people. Its goal is to develop digital support mechanisms for youth workers working with refugee children and internally displaced persons, as well as to develop practical solutions at the European level.

Through joint efforts, the partners aim to establish an effective platform for knowledge exchange and competency development–supporting young people in difficult times and promoting the integration of European approaches to working with vulnerable groups.

Together for a strong European future!
